Payzar was founded in 2025 by Ronewa Muthivhi with a vision born from witnessing the daily struggles of South Africa's unsung heroes - the street vendors, taxi drivers, and small business owners who form the backbone of our economy. We saw how expensive card machines and cash dependency were holding back dreams and limiting growth towards financial freedom.
Every morning, we watched as talented entrepreneurs - from the lady selling fresh vegetables at the corner to the skilled craftsman at the local market - lost customers simply because they couldn't accept digital payments mostly due to hight fees, banking differences and slow transaction completion. We knew technology could bridge this gap and transform lives.
